You don't accept Truss wreaked the economy?firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 7:37 amI haven't forgotten her name nor how the markets wrecked the economy ... who is to say they were right and she was wrong, interesting there are calls for changes in economic policy now that have similarity with her views.Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 11:40 pmI can forgive you for forgetting about a woman by the name of Liz Truss. No, that's believing Labour's promises and voting for them!![]()

What's more, she did exactly what she promised to do and the members who voted for her knew she was going to do it.![]()

Anyway the big difference is that as you say she did as she said she would whereas Labour are already stepping back from promises, saying they will not be doing as they said they would ... same old Labour always lying!![]()

I thought I answered that but I repeat it as a reminder. It seems you are latching on to selective bits and ignoring the rest ... it's a common trait of people with weak arguments.Derek27 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 10:10 amYou don't accept Truss wreaked the economy?firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 7:37 am... the markets wrecked the economy ... who is to say they were right and she was wrong, interesting there are calls for changes in economic policy now that have similarity with her views.![]()

That doesn't answer the question, and it doesn't even make sense to say I'm latching on to selective bits... I was just asking a question! All questions are based on a selective bit of life.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 7:33 amI thought I answered that but I repeat it as a reminder. At this point I'm willing to pay for their couples therapy sessions
Is this thread the place for a bunfight? I think Firlandsfarm and Derek27 should create their own thread were they knock chunks off each other.

Jesus how much copium has this guy been huffing?! The Uk is in an utter shambles - just look at the utter incompetence on show during the covid enquiry if you have any doubts, or look at the NHS, people waiting 4 years for a hernia operation - and all this clown can say is 'yeah, but Labour are bad'firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2023 7:37 amI haven't forgotten her name nor how the markets wrecked the economy ... who is to say they were right and she was wrong, interesting there are calls for changes in economic policy now that have similarity with her views.Derek27 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2023 11:40 pmI can forgive you for forgetting about a woman by the name of Liz Truss. It is root and branch ignorance and incompetence, from their moronic leaders down to their single brain cell supporters! According to this muppet Liz Truss was right and, wait let me get this straight, the markets were wrong?!
That kind of stupidity would be awful anywhere, but that it's on a trading forum is unforgivable. absolute lol.

This is where the thread went off track and I moved the conversation to the UK Election thread.greenmark wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:18 pmIs this thread the place for a bunfight? I think Firlandsfarm and Derek27 should create their own thread were they knock chunks off each other.

If I may chime in greenmark, I have watched an 8 minute clip on this conflict this morning so I have a pretty good understanding of it.greenmark wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:18 pmIs this thread the place for a bunfight? The problem seems to be that they can't seem to work out who has said what, and who has put which words into whose mouth. Which is a bit odd considering everything is in black and white writing for everyone to see.
But I'm sure once they work this out they will be back to being best friends
But do you think my reference to that Monty Python sketch is relevant? I thought it was. It depicted how Hamas (the Black Knight) are in a battle they cannot win but are prepared to have limbs lopped off and then berate the Iraeli's for doing exactly what you would expect. It's nuts and has been for decades and no-one with power thinks they should stop the bloodshed. Sorry. Idealistic rant over.Kai wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:32 pmIf I may chime in greenmark, I have watched an 8 minute clip on this conflict this morning so I have a pretty good understanding of it.greenmark wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:18 pmIs this thread the place for a bunfight? I was talking exclusively about those two. But no worries, I used the same sketch in the Ukraine threadgreenmark wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 3:46 pmBut do you think my reference to that Monty Python sketch is relevant? I thought it was.
