Yes, I been reading about that too.The Silk Run wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 3:29 pmWhat do you think about all those Russian men who have run away from their country and conscription to safer havens like Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Living it up and creating problems in-country with organised crime. I have read terrible stories what they get up to, and how they treat local nationals.
Do you think they have to send monies back to Putins government to support the war machine. Or will he capture them when they eventually return, or deported.
Putin won’t care, it’s more Russians overseas causing mayhem regardless if they send money home and or pay tax. He won’t care about people dodging the draft. Very few actual professional Russian soldiers have been sent to Ukraine. It’s all been conscripts, ex prisoners and volunteers from India and several brigades from Chechens.
Putin maybe allot of things and someone I would like to meet in an enclosed room. But he is not stupid. He hasn’t really committed any of his well trained, professional soldiers, yet.
Reading between the lines, around 140,000 have been killed or injured Russian side. But only around 25,000 of those were professional forces. The rest, unfortunately, were the term, cannon fodder. Not nice but that’s war.
