No, as a soldier, in an infantry regiment, current or previous, you are trained and given knowledge about what, god forbid, if it happens.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2024 10:54 pmArchery, have you considered speaking to a doc about your doomsday phobia?
Virtually, all analysts, now say the world, is much further closer to WW3 than it has ever has been, even during the bay of pigs crisis and the cold war.
Within the UK, if you live within 30 miles of a Military, Naval or Air Base then, lucklily you will not know much about it, especially with the aftershock. The problem is, allot will survive the initial blast and aftershock. But law and order will break down. There will be no Police or Soldiers to keep law and order amoungst the civilian population, it will be down to you to protect yourself and family, while at the same time, trying to find shelter, food and water. If you want numbers then around 1/3 will go in Round 1 (Blast/aftershock), 1/3 will go in Round 2 (Radiation positioning, starvation). That will leave 1/3 after 12 months who will make it by adapting and learning very quickly. But along the way those will have had to probably, in some shape or form, kill friends, neighbours or even family members.
Only certain members of the Government, Royal Family and Armed Forces will be totally safe. The rest will fall into one of the 1/3 that I mentioned above.
So, again, no, don't think i need to see a Doctor or Shrink as its all documented and backed up, especially if you live on a small island so close to Europe as the UK does/is.
