Again I agree with you. If you have the academic aptitude to get into Uni. You should be supported. People have avoided Uni and headed for apprenticeships.
My understanding is a Uni student will be loaded with debt (unless they have wealthy parents).
An apprentice will be funded through their vocational education.
The choice is obvious IMO do you want the next generation to be more, or less, educated?
