“If you can’t be bothered to work then the government owes you nothing”

What was he actually referring too ?
- Those who leave school and can’t be bothered.
- Those who leave school and because of peer pressure don’t work as it will affect the families house income if there on benefits.
- Those who have worked for 30+ years but for whatever reason no longer wish too.
You could turn that around and say, I didn’t ask to be born, you don’t help me, then I don’t pay tax or contribute to society. If you don’t like it then lock me up @ £43,000 per annum. And even if I don’t contribute or have enough state pension contributions, the law says I need a minimum income via pension credit. If not then you have another homeless person. Who is more likely to end up in Prison.
Don’t forget, anyone in the UK making a living via BF legally is not obliged to pay tax. To me, they should be treated the same as any other self-employed person. After your tax free allowance, if in profit then you pay tax. You could also argue that you should be subject to IR35 rules too.
And please don’t say it would be a nightmare to introduce, it wouldn’t, profit - costs and losses over £12,500 then your treated the same as any other submitting a tax return.
Constructive comments ?
