 Rather be there than the Arsenal referee conspiracy theory club which is most of the supporters. Just buy and play a decent striker and there wouldn't be all this drama trying to stay on the coat tails and celebrating strictly come corners. I have a soft spot for Arsenal from 2002 at 11/10 early March. But like Wenger Arteta has a big blind spot.

No intent to play the ball. Just the man. Very late. Cynical. Raked his studs down the leg rather than just a trip. Just a trip and it's a yellow. Just clip him normally no need to leave the studs in.
Yeah but for consistency why wasn't the Wolves guy also given a straight red when he raked his studs down the ankle?

Because he was actually challenging for the ball. Mistimed and clumsy but it's called football for a reason. There is normally a ball involved. Studs on top of boots break metatarsals. Studs on top of boots with no ball involved then you are rolling the dice.

It could have been a straight red for Gomes as well but I can see why it was a yellow.

I can see why Lewis Skelly was given a red card but can also see the argument for a yellow.

I think the red for Lewis-Skelly was very harsh. If you're going to examine every decision in high detail, it was clearly not a red card. Cynical and deliberate? Yes. Did it endanger the opponent? No.
Man C have been doing this for years so maybe this is why the refs are getting less tolerant.

They were going for the ball on both occasions ... do refs now need to have a qualification in mind reading?

Have you played football? There are 3 levels. 1. Take him out - he shall not pass. 2. Give him a tap. 3. Miss-timed tackle.

I note you don't seem to consider a fair tackle as a 'level', says a lot! Anyway, I still don't see much difference between Lewis-Skelly and Gomes. Gomes clearly stamped on the top of the player's foot while Lewis-Skelly's boot followed the line of the player's leg but hardly touched it before landing on the foot. I wouldn't consider myself an expert but have yet to hear an 'expert' agree he should have seen red ... even Dermot Gallagher on Sky didn't agree with the red. The only (possible) expert who thinks it was is Michael Oliver.

The only way you would get consistency is if a single ref does all the matches

And maybe not even then!

Frustrating with Serie A games on 9s bet delay seems to be the norm now. I have no patience to sit for 9s to open a bet then another 9s to close it, it's an absolute eternity more or less kills scalping stone dead as well.

However, replays indicated that the ball last touched Trossard. Under current rules, VAR doesn't review such situations unless the review is centered on goals or potential red cards.

To make matters worse for Spurs, Gabriel met the corner at the far post and nodded home off Dominic Solanke's midsection'.

VAR - what a load of 💩
Spurs got battered from start to finish any VAR decisions wouldn't have saved them. The only consolation I can offer Spurs
is that Arsenal don't have a proper centre forward or it would off been a lot worse. Big Ange is on thin ice IMO.
