I can't wait to see who is attending and what everybody is wearing. I also understand there may be some horse racing going on as well.

He was at the Greyhound Derby final on Saturday, he lumped on the odds-on jolly (quelle surprise), and it got beat (quelle surprise).

Does he ever bet anything not fav?

I saw a big drop off in Royal Ascot TPD automated profit last year:
2022 £910
2023 £1692
2024 £916

There's been some significant tweaks in my automation since last time so very interested to see how this year performs.

Wishing everyone the best of luck - hoping for plenty of    for all!

Been lurking here for a bit and decided to register yesterday so my first post. Been watching markets for a bit too and trying to get a handle on what’s going on.

I watched the market there before the off for the first race and everything looked quite stable, especially compared to the 14:05 at Stratford which I also watched (and quite satisfyingly predicted the reversal of favourites!). I assume this is caused by the difference in grade of racing, this being a group race.

That said, and I apologise if I am asking for too much with this, would this be more a case of trading one tick at a time, given the stability? I think the favourite at one point came down to about 3.8 but was always around 4 (trading at 4.1 would mean a spread of 5/6 ticks overall).

Just getting a handle on things. Looking forward to this week and seeing what some of the stronger markets do, when compared to the madness of a Class 6 at Wolverhampton  appreciate the forum!

Yes, massive difference. Most Ascot races will be busy and large volume so that tends to crush the traded range. But shorer prices will move, especially where lower quality.

Generally, yes, but you will need to make a judgment when you arrive on the market. But at bigger odds on the feature races the market won't move as much as normal.

TPD will come into it's own as there are no drone pics this year.

I predict

Also doesn't help that BFLV showed the 1st race but not the 2nd

No issue with the BFL stream here. Could be a demand issue. Probably worth loading the BF streams up as early as possible.

The big race of the day will be dominated by Field of Gold, there will be movement on this. So a good trade on this race will be determined by what happens here.

Still not there, or very weak at best.
