A significant number of pubs in Ireland are closing down, with a report by the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland (DIGI) indicating over 2,100 pub closures since 2005, averaging around 112 pubs annually, with the closure rate accelerating to 128 between 2019 and 2024. This trend is particularly pronounced in rural areas, with some counties like Limerick and Cork experiencing over 30% of their pubs closing

Colours confusion in the 18:00 @ Galway. The winner, Turnpike Trip, traded £4 at 1000 while San Salvador (4th) traded as low as 1.1. Both in sky blue.

Baffles me how often that happens!
Is that an effect from watching TPD rather than the race video?

Lots of horses involved in a frantic finish, jockey colours were similar, and San Salvador was running on so got a late name drop from the commentator.

Musselburgh 19:48, the 4th placed race favourite Dumfries disqualified after clerk of scales objection.
The Clerk of the Scales objected to DUMFRIES, placed fourth, ridden by William Pyle, and trained by Ruth Carr on the grounds of the rider weighing in at 9st 4.5lbs having weighed out at 9st 6lbs. The rider, the trainer’s representative, and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed. Pyle was suspended for 3 days as having double weighed prior to his ride in race 4, he then failed to present himself for a body-weigh prior to race 5, which resulted in him being unaware that he was then light.
