Have been enjoying Severance on Apple TV. A little slow to get going but its ok.

It does give "oh look how smart we are for creating a show like this" vibes (a bit like Westworld) but once it gets going pacing is ok and it has kept me hooked.

That's been on my watchlist actually, love me a good dystopian setup

Because some of these sci-fi scenarios feel like a little sneak peek into our future

I wouldn't mind a little severance when the inlaws visit. First 2-3 episodes are slow but it does get going.

Wouldn't Deliverance be more appropriate re the outlaws?

New Superman movie is a bit of a joke. Absolute shit supporting cast. 2/7. James Gunn should not be given this much money to do things. Cavill dodged a bullet.

I see he's doing a reboot of Highlander. Fingers crossed it good.

You must be watching Alien Earth? I really want to like it but something is holding me back.

Lulz. I watched that a couple weeks ago and tried rawdogging it (as the kids say) at the gym this entire week with no headphones, no phone. x3 people asked me if i was ok as apparently just sitting there on a bench staring at your barbell makes you look either very sad or a good bit off center.

Yup, boredom has become completely intolerable nowadays, that short vid is a nice subtle summary of where we're at as a society

It's no wonder FOMO has never been stronger, we've practically made it the default setting!

Watched Drugstore Cowboy this weekend. Excellent dark comedy about drug addiction staring Matt Dillion - 6/7.

On a sidenote I am absolutely blown away by the complete amount of recent junk streaming on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Paramount, Peacock etc. The amount of money thrown at all of the shows on these apps must be in the 100s of millions. I just don't get it. Or maybe I'm just not the target audience anymore. Probably time to just start reading more.
