I have noticed recently that if I am away from my pc for a few minutes BA sometimes shuts down (ie I have to reopen it and login again), even though the pc remains active and my internet pages etc are all open and working.

I have a new dell desktop and it is running windows 11.

I anyone else having this problem?

thanks

The most common reason for this is running out of disk space. Do you have plenty of free data on your C drive?

Tons of space, it's a brand new computer (and I don't use it for code breaking, gaming or downloading loads of vids etc)

357 GB of free space

You mention it happening when you are away from your PC. Have you got all the relevant 'sleep' power options on the PC set to "never"?

it sleeps after 15 minutes, but BA remains logged in when I wake it up and I don't have to open BA and login again

Also, on the two times BA shut down the pc had not entered sleep mode.

Ive noticed the past couple of weeks the BA app isnt as smooth as it use to be i thought it was my computer or internet but no issue with other sites. Only happens on the ladder page an when moving the curser over the header on the guardian page. Maybe BA are getting ready for a new update!

As the issue seems to be specific to you its more likely the windows dll that is the problem rather than BA?

Lots of stuff on how to fix it if so on the internet.

Have you tried reinstalling BA? If you've installed anything since, then that c++ component might have been overwritten with a different version, it's a common dot net redistributable and lots of installs use it.

You are not alone. This has been a really big issue for me for around maybe more than a year now.

My computer and laptop will both shut down and restart completely randomly, when Bet Angel is running (it doesn't happen when Bet Angel is not running), and it happens sometimes while I'm away from the computer, but more so when I'm in front of the computer.

My problem is that all my Bet Angel usage is with automation, I don't manually trade, so if I'm away from the computer and it randomly closes and restarts, Bet Angel doesn't reopen and log back in, for the automation to continue (it also wipes all stored values for the markets).

This means, sometimes, if I have multiple bets open when it crashes, and 1 or more of those bets go the wrong way, I just end up taking huge full loses at the end of the matches.

It is costing me a lot of money now, and it's happening more frequently too.

I have been testing everything as much as possible in the last few months, to try and figure out what is causing the restarts. I don't know if it's a Bet Angel issue, my computers (which are approx. 10 years old both running Windows 10), or if it could be a physical issue like computer wiring, faulty electrics tripping out, or the fact that I'm linked to a TV instead of a monitor. I still don't know what it is.

I am currently in the process of looking for a new home desktop with windows 11, hoping that a new and more modern computer might resolve the issue, but I'm not sure.

If anyone has any information about this, or can help, it would be much appreciated.

Try looking in the windows Event Viewer to see if it's logged the underlying reason for the crash.
