It's not a good idea telling everybody how much you earn in a year ( in any profession ) 😈
I think it's great. Shows what can be done.

Well done Goat!
It's just that you don't see anyone posting a 'loss' of £33k or more in a year 🤔
I know what you mean. I post occasional losses as it demonstrates the gritty realism of trading.

That said, it would be very easy to lose £33k in a year, but much more difficult (and therefore noteworthy), to show a £33k green year. Especially as this thread represents the OPs journey from loss and frustration through to eventual long-term profitability.

That is definitely more acceptable ( IMO ) 👍

You're absolutely correct!
That's the thing, when I was consistently losing, I lost at most about -£1k in a year, that's because if you're sensible it's quite easy to breakeven or slightly negative... the hard bit is breaking out from that...

You're a cheeky boy goat. You pop up on the VHS forum and say look how well Betamax performs :)

You could leave some crumbs for the BA users about how they can do what you're doing?
basically many many hours of analysis of data, and trying to understand where value can be found....
Haha, brutal :)

"Many hours of analysis..." = "nice try Shaun, not today"

Goat deserves a pass though becuase the story is incredible

There been many posts from goat in start of this where he show how much money he lost. 33k lost i doubt someone crazy enough to gamble it.

I don't want to know what he's doing, I'm doing fine and too busy already. I'm just questioning how his methods are applicable to BA users beyond the basics of finding value.

Incredible? Probably more a case of accepting advice and then doing the hours. Std path to success.

As you say, just the value, and "the story" !

Standard path, in hindsight.

From what I remember (correct me if I'm wrong, goat :)), he was deeply frustrated at first.

Surviving the doubt, iterating through failures, and building something truly structural is brutal. Most won't be able to do it.

Every school has a football team, but most kids never go pro.

You make a good point, it was hard and is still hard, but it takes a tremendous amount of persistence to get somewhere. Some will do it quicker than others too....

Hi Goat do you design all of your bots inside bet angel or have you gone external into excel? Do you incorporate data into your bot like the data bet angel provide or do you solely trade of price action from the markets? I notice you only do pre race too ?
