Displaying the winner

I'm trying to display either Over 1.5 Goals or Under 1.5 Goals in Guardian in a column headed Winner but nothing appears. Can you see why? Thanks.

You were missing a line that stores the selections' win statuses.

I havent tested this but it should work.

This is the reason. When you set up the rulefile you attributed this action against a named selection rather than a transferable selection. You're instructing Bet Angel to apply the action to a selection called "Shafdar" which of course doesn't exist in any other market.

Oh, right. I just imported the file and got the message when I tried to use it. (The selection box was blank, of course.) Should this populate the Winner column for all events it is applied to, or only those where the odds conditions trigger a lay?

Should store the winner for any market the rulesfile is applied to.

ANY selection will trigger only on the first selection where time and conditional criteria are met.

EVERY selection will trigger on all selections where time and conditional criteria are met.

Right, so I'm guessing if I want to to show the Under/Over result for all events, I'll need to change all 3 SV rules to Under 0.5 Goals on the General tab.

Nope, this is where you are going wrong.

You need to apply rules to "Betfair row 1". Row 1 is always under 0.5 goals. eg Row 2 would be if you wanted over 0.5 goals, etc

Annoyingly the rule has now decided to link itself to a football match I didn't even have selected, but I expect it will still work on other games. It's because you're selecting a named selection, in this case "under 0.5".

Bet Angel is built to work in all possible markets including those where named selections will change from market to market, not just over/unders markets where the selection name is usually constant.

If you use betfair row 1 instead of "under 0.5" from now on all your problems will go away.
