If the race goes in-play on Betfair, then your unmatched bet will be cancelled automatically, unless you have asked for it to remain in place.

If the race doesn't go in-play on Betfair (as often happens with US races), then any unmatched bets will be voided automatically when Betfair suspends the market.

Thanks Jeff, my problem is a little different...
I work on live races and take actions according to whether I won or lost, so I need to know right after the race is over who won. This works quite well with GB and IRL because it usually means that the horse with lowest odds has won. Not so with the US and AUS races, where one doesn't know whether he won or lost until the balance is updated (generally 10-15-20 mins after the event) and since then several other races have run and so one never knows where he won or lost unless he looks at betfair's account, but that doesn't help me at all.
So my question is whether there is a sure way to pick up the results, in Excel, at the end of all races, GB, IRL, US, AUS...

Cheers

hi everybody,

I have another question for any man of good will:
is it possible to get a signal in excel when the sheet is released, unbound from guardian? this is the exact moment when the the balance is updated and I'd know whether I won or lost regardless of the fact that the race was suspended or not.

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ennio
