... I think Farage is 'shooting' himself in the foot saying he is going to cut benefits. Instead,
he needs to convince the people of this country he has got a plan to control 'illegal immigration..

Reform now 4.4 to win Makerfield.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu May 14, 2026 8:08 pmReform only need a 6.7% swing to capture the Makerfield seat from Labour.
In the local elections last week the eight Makerfield constituency wards put Reform at 50.4% compared to Labour's 22.7%. This represents an approximate 18-point local swing from Labour to Reform since the 2024 General Election.
Reform will win.![]()
This seat is not about how many people vote Labour, it's how many people vote Restore that will decide the winner.
I keep piling in. Good money after bad etc

... I think there is a loose horse ( Restore ) running about at the moment but Reform can still come back and win itjamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2026 11:09 pmReform now 5.5. I take it the candidate did not perform well on Question Time?
It was depressing last night taking the dog out for a walk Burnham banners in quite a few gardens ,
if Burnham was a sure winner wouldnt bookies be giving a way free money , Reform and Restore need to compromise
other wise Burnham will benefit from a split vote..

For me, he looked like a rabbit in the headlights, and clearly nervous. Having said that, I thought he came over better than I expected (I'm not a Reform voter). The Vorderman comments came out and you could see many angry looking women in the audience at that point.jamesedwards wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2026 11:09 pmReform now 5.5. The Beeb had obviously tried to get a representative audience though, as he did get quite a lot of applause. I thought Burnham did well, with Greens and Lib Dems coming over very wet.
