I've had a look at the article but cannot see anything in it that refers to average IQs ... not for any party's voters, not even Labour's!

We were talking about the tactical voting. The point being it seemed counter-productive for Reform voters to vote to get Starmer out when he stands less chance than Burnham in a GE. Seems an odd spin to me

I wasn't! I was talking about unsubstantiated ridiculing. You referred to "the average IQ of a Reform voter". I asked for substantiation to which you gave the BBC article! So I questioned it ... I happen to agree with your analysis of the bi-election voting logic (if that was their thinking, we don't know, it could be that the Labour voters returned because they expected Labour under Burnham to be acceptable). And who's to say Burnham will run the country any better.

Sorry for any confusion, I thought my specific quote reference was clear and finding anyone to confess as being a current Labour supporter is rare! . Anyway I apologise if you thought I was pointing a finger … I was just expressing my contempt for this Government. I’m looking forward to the impending GE that has to be remembering how they insisted on GEs when Conservatives changed PM … yeah, really! This is why I so dislike the old school parties … they criticise when in opposition but do the same when in power, and find Farage a breath of fresh air.

Personally I still think it we be a hung parliament .I noticed how a lot of the liberal press (all farage supporters) are suddenly pronouncing Reform as a flash in the pan ,this is because they know their new man (andy capp) is far more reliable and will tow the establishmnet line. But Farage wont go away.I think his biggest problem now is Rupert Lowe.Not being too cynical here but could there possibly be a Reform/Restore reunion and the forming of one party...could well happen.

I'm sure it's not just me who's thinking of this, but if we're going to stop this ever-continuing procession of prime ministers, maybe we should inject some moral hazard. Why not make it mandatory that if you get rid of your leader, you have to call a general election?

The Tories never had to call a general election so why should Labour?

Perhaps bring in this rule after the next general election under existing rules, then it will be a level playing field for all parties.
