The same capitalist society that has delivered a handful of examples of obscene wealth is the very same capitalist society that has cut extreme poverty from 69% to 9% over the last 125 years.
Where on earth did you get those figures from !! :?

On reflection, I played this IPO very poorly.

Given the restrictions of low float, non-flipping of retail within 2 weeks, private equity pricing it at an open if $158, which was phenomenally accurate, I should of bought on Robinhood and hoped for a 15-30% allocation of what I requested.

I now been shorting at $170, buying at $160, but now feel even this is wrong.

The company is priced at 110 times revenue. Very, very
few good investments come from that valuation.

After some of the lock- up periods have expired I will be a major shorter. DYOR / I am just a guesser
We are all just guessers. Some good, some bad and some average.

I'm just tipsy for them to start mining asteroids in a few years. Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck probably be a bit to old to send by then though.

I stagged it for my children's accounts but the allocation was terrible.

Politicians never really talk about this because it doesn't fit their narrative. When you look at a lot of the Labour politicians in the current government, they're always talking about poverty but they always fail to mention that they're talking about relative poverty, which is not poverty at all in the traditional sense.

They are using the same old method that people have used for many years, which is if you say something often enough people tend to believe it.

We are definitely in a post-factual world.

I think people who bought on sites like Robinhood and are not permitted to sell until a lock-up period has expired are in a tough situation. The penalties for selling are not that onerous - u would be excluded from future IPO offerings.

But, if this craters to below $135 when only 5% of the float is released, this looks to be in a difficult spot when the other shares are released.

Whole market tanking pre-open - I could easily see Spacex under $125 this week.

DYOR - I am just a guesser.

Given that there was a clamour to tax Musk heavily based on his 'wealth' I wonder if they will give him a refund for the market cap lost?
