My understanding is that he has a team gathering the data so a license isn't necessary and the rest is freely available?Euler wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 9:06 amThe interesting thing about sites like this is that we have lots and lots of data, but we've been told that we're not able to publish it because it would be a breach of data licenses. So I'm not sure how these sites are able to do it and we are not, and maybe they're just taking a flyer on the legal side of things.elofan0 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2026 8:52 amseen this on you tube , not bad for stats , https://www.tennisabstract.com/

lol - not sure i want to say good for him. But considering they are demanding his time and then telling how they think he should talk. It is kinda funny.Acheron wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 9:07 amA welcome break from the norm I must sayEuler wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 8:58 amBest tennis interview ever - https://x.com/josemorgado/status/2067033963902693766
The problem is not the collection of the data; it's the distribution of it. Each sporting authority owns their rights to data, and you cannot distribute it without getting a license from them.Acheron wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 9:12 amMy understanding is that he has a team gathering the data so a license isn't necessary and the rest is freely available?Euler wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2026 9:06 amThe interesting thing about sites like this is that we have lots and lots of data, but we've been told that we're not able to publish it because it would be a breach of data licenses. It's in a similar manner to this: -

Tennis Data Innovations own the rights to ATP data, for example, and you cannot redistribute or sell or do anything without getting a license from them or an appointed partner.
When we inquired, it was tens of thousands a year, but if you're associated with the betting industry, then it was £100,000 upwards.

I swear you're better off laying any sub 1.5 fav in any tourney the week before a slam. Just out there walking around around like they're on a Sunday morning stroll pretending to be a pro.

Some are trying, 3rd set lays flatlining for a few days. WTA making a comeback though

Good stuff. I was more referring to the demeanor of higher ranked players in the tourneys the week prior to slams. Some of them are very sketch. I get trying not to get hurt for a half decent payday the next week but if you're that worried just take a pass.sniffer66 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 6:06 pmJuiceyJones wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 4:24 pmI swear you're better off laying any sub 1.5 fav in any tourney the week before a slam. Sas/Hunter really the only game i had any conviction in today. But didn't think there would be to much on the ladders. Turned out ok for SW1 qualifier with decent liquidity and both seemed up for it.

Was kind of what I was referring to. Even though they're dropping the 1st set, they are coming back and winning the next 2. against the data. So at least some of them are trying
