Yea I believe you. It can be very stressful. I hope all goes well tho.
Funny enough my UK bank just asked me yesterday to verify my identity.. after shitilions of years with them.I have no idea whats goin on in the UK right now. Absoulte bobbins.
Im worried that I will be asked to verify myself everywhere I go and every person I talk to now every 30 mins... soon I'll probably need a biometric scan with all of my bank statement and bill for my electricity in the last 3 months documents in my pocket just to order a coffee or cross a road. ☕️👮‍♂️
I'm getting 2/3 KYC and AML checks a week at the moment. It's a farce. They validate my card which is link to a bank that must have done these checks already. Just f**k off.

It's right across the spectrum of services I use, not just bookmakers.

Couple of weeks ago I updated my mobile number. Straight away account suspended. Took well over half an hour to sort out over chat with back and forth, had to hold my driving licence next to my face and upload a bank statement. Just weird and annoying, felt totally amateur but it was sorted.

KYC I'm pretty certain I did something over at the post office for them 20 years ago. Maybe they think I've morphed into a different person in that time. Same account, name and address.

Never picked up on my old address on the account with my bank statement. Oh well!

Current limit: £250 per day on All products
check-in.png
The saga continues. BF set this limit on my account mid-session, apparently it was automated due to staking volumes (again).
Despite me being up a healthy amount daily, monthly, 52wkly etc

they requested a 'check in', so i checked in, and after 85mins of waiting to be transferred to a senior member they simply told me to remove the loss limit after 1 (yes just one) question about my staking.

After removing they said: So, it typically takes 7 days for a limit to be removed, but if you'll bear with me a few minutes I can check on that for you. I would sincerely hope they can remove a limit I didn't set... 😅

Q: "How has the increased cost of living affected you?"

A: "My bottle of milk was £1.20 last month. Now it's £1.30. Next question?"

I am surprised you are not a premium customer assuming your recent pnl screenshots are genuine.

Any screenshots are honest. Of course I have a few losing days but I provide decent liquidity and have over 100k Betfair points (pay high comms). They'll miss minimum £300k of matched volume while my activity is paused over next 7 days – not exactly optimal for the business. I don't mind if it's a one-off but my account was flagged in the same manner 3 weeks ago and my use case hasn't changed, which suggests the chance of continuing to be flagged in the near future is above 10%. It all just seems unnecessary at this point and it's all automatic systems causing it so I'm told.

My expert fee page shows steady profit on the 52-weekly P&L and of course my account is +£ lifetime so I'm sure I'd have a fair chance to have this fixed up if it's in front of the right person.

If any big names on here can help via their contacts at Betfair to have my case looked at. Or anyone could advise me of what steps to take from here to stop this from happening, please do your good deed for the week and reach out, that would be very much appreciated. 🙏

Does anyone know what the trigger is for this? Big deposit, frequent deposit, putting a lot through the market, P&L?

I regularly deposit and withdraw so I have a couple of hundred in for manual trading and £20 if I'm testing a bot

Two steps to this imo:
1. Manage your bank and cashflow very carefully to avoid depositing as much as possible. Stop depositing completely if you can.
2. Keep your nose clean (no duplicate accounts, fee avoidance etc).

- High staking volume (SG Safer Gambling)
- Large deposits / increase in frequency (KYC Know Your Customer – Affordability Checks)
- Large withdrawals ? (Unconfirmed, but this would be AML Anti Money Laundering)
Their systems will also notice an increase versus your historical behaviour. Presumably there is a minimum threshold here as I doubt they'd come knocking if you 50x'd your activity from £1's→£50's

Also make sure you are at least putting some volume through every now and then if you are doing a lot of API requests (don't just sit and farm data via automation when your account is idle). API requests versus matched volume is likely their metric here.

And to think I just paid them £499 for that privilege :x

Suppose it does give my manual trading some purpose as in the losses aren't all for nothing

Awful you keep having to go through this eightbo - I asked my VIP manager one question a couple of years ago and then he went AWOL  I think unless you have a manager who you got 15 years then you're stuck with the leftovers.

You're based in Aus atm? Do you have an Aus account or is it still UK based? As I know the Aus discord channel seems to sort problems out well.

Thanks naff yeah not ideal. UK account so don't think AUS team can help. My VPS is in UK so bets get placed through that and I use my current UK bank etc. it's just timezone differences
