Sounds like two others in trouble as well :(

Noel Fehily looks to have broken a leg as well.

RUK did play up the vet check saying several times it would be an extensive check but it didn't look it to me, looked the usual quick look over.

Not that I think the horse getting free and the death were linked.

That's really bad news.

The race was great and it's really bad it's going to be haunted with these deaths.

Congratulations to JG (you can't win them all, but being so close on such a difficult race is amazing) and to... Enzabella ;)

I backed According to Pete and he was unlucky to get brought down when going really well and can't quite believe it killed him.

fabulous race. not sure why there were so many fallers but it seemed that the jumping was particularly poor this year.

Not ideal, but its so silly as well. These horses are treated so well in racing. But there are obviously risks.

I just took some of the arguments and applied them to farm animals and they fitted nicely. Therefore I think we should start the hash tag #banfarming

They'd never ban racing there's too much money in it.

Might be a good idea to have a few less horses in the national though? I know having enormous fields is all part of the fun but you dont get incidents like we had today at the start in normal races.

Thanks JG for your tips. I made a nice 30% ROI on my Dutch to place with the dregs of my Betdaq account.

I amazingly had the top 2 including Neptune Collonges at 60/1 so a great day for me. :)

I have little knowledge of horses, but someone explain why a broken leg is often fatal? You'd think in this day and age, they could treat injuries like this without shooting them on the spot

Hi guys, I have to make a correction. I have claimed here to have closed sunnyhillboy @ 1,2, despite the horse touched 1,04 on my recored P&L showing my selection was closed @ 1,43
I don't know how that happened but I can't really complain about a winning ticket.
