I've sent a message to support, but I'm not convinced they respond to messages on Saturdays, so I'm posting this here too

I opened Guardian with a massive hangover this morning, and rather than adding all football match odds into Guardian, I added all markets (thousands of them)

The bloody thing has now crashed, and I can't use BA at all as I'm getting a (not responding) message at the top. I can't even delete the markets, as BA crashes before I can even get to that stage

Any ideas on how to clear Guardian in circumstances like this?

can you pause guardian so it does not keep going through the list? then select all and delete.
Just an idea.

Thanks for the response Dabbla, but that surely isn't possible without opening Guardian first?

The moment I press the G to open Guardian, BA crashes and closes down

So sorry to hear your situation. Have you tried to do full restart on your computer? Leave for a few seconds before rebooting, may reset something in RAM. Worth a try.

you could try to download a new copy. your previous settings are are saved ie screen layouts etc, but i would not think day to day markets in guardian would be saved and hopefully a new download will over write what is existing in the guardian file/thing. maybe worth a worth trying.

There will be a directory containing the markets listed I imagine. I'm out of the office at the moment but can check when I get near a pc. Delete that list.

I just checked with support and they said a solution was sent to you within 1 hour and 10 mins of you contacting them. Not bad for a Saturday on a bank holiday weekend!

Have you not received this?

Thanks for all the responses guys

Yes, I received Tony's email, but I was impatient and received it after I had already embarked on my own course of action

I ended up doing a system restore instead, which has solved the problem. Tony kindly suggested a much better, easier option

Thanks again (bloody alcohol!!) :D
