Hi
I dont know if anyone is trading this...
Be careful if you're looking at the book % and thinking it's easy money...
They have a tendency to bring in another contestant part way through..hence the book % now...

They could have kept the book at 100 judging by the last 2 entries.

Charlie just blew it, drift expected.

Hi James,
Yes I thought that the two new entries were a bit weak! I cant see either of them being in with a shout! If they had been real contenders it could have upset the book.
Last year my mate and I made a fair bit on this market as I backed Shaun Ryder at 12's for a fair sized sum (we knew him from our younger days at school and knew he was good value at 12's! and that his odds would reduce).

I took the same approach this year on Eric Bristow (but significantly less stakes than last year). He seemed level headed and I though his odds would reduce too (no other reason other than gut feel really). Other than Brian Conelly, no one stood out in my eyes.
I have a nice green on Eric at the moment and will trade out before the end, I still think he has a fair way to go yet.

Is it surprising how much is traded on these events though?
Good luck James if you are in the market!
Regards
Peter

I just hope for all you guys who have backed the 'nice' candidates sakes it doesn't go the same way of many elections of the past - i.e. people say they'll vote for the nice candidate but when it comes down to it they secretly plump for the tory

Hi Peter,

I am in all the Reality markets and in a big way usually.

The volumes aren't what they were a few years back but its still possible to make 5 fig gains. XF and BB still attract the most money (a lot of it insider).

I usually do my research as soon as I get the names and thats where the real value lies. There are so many players with little or no chance of winning and as long as you understand the audiences for each show, its difficult to lose money. I understand Mr Webb is a player.

Eric has a fair shout, so good luck.

James

Reality shows offer great opportunities, albeit the volumes have dropped slightly. I remember smashing in a huge green the year Matt Cardle won XF, the liquidity was bloody massive

I also layed Rosmary when favorite, she never really seemed a winner to me :? .

think i should have held out on Haye and Ashley abit longer than i did as they are now 1st and 2nd favorite  but never mind been a great series for me, hope everyone else has done ok.

You def picked the right two there!
I traded out Eric a long time ago, I'm surprised he lasted as long as he has.

I think laying the fav would have paid off nicely in this series!
