I wasn't sure about which way this was headed.

Could some of you share how easy or hard you found this trade please (on a scale of 1 to 10, easy to hard)?
Hi Switish, strange as this was the only race that I felt I could properly read today, I put a big lay (for me) on dark lane when it was at 2.26. Lots of money was coming for Tango Sky and didn't look like it was going to stop.

Not sure what happened here as I didn't do a scratch trade to get a chance to watch the pictures.

Very rapid drift on the fav in the 4:15 Class Stks at Bath.

Not quite chart of the day stuff, but a pattern of the day so far.

The first 3 races of the day today were odd-on favs that kept being backed in strongly without the faintest sings of drifting out if only for a tick or two.

Here's charts from the 1st and 3rd race. Forgot to capture chart for the 2nd race.

If you look at short priced favourites in general there is a tendancy to see them gently backed in. People 'buying money'

I would really like to trade the hugely short favourites but in my head I find myself struggling to do anything except oppose them. It's unbelievable that Lewisham was backed right into 1.05 by the off. I wonder what prompts somebody to throw £75k onto something as uncertain as a horse race..

Here's the big movers for today in the 7:00 Listed at Navan.

I felt you had to be on it really early to catch the big move, otherwise play the waiting game like me.

Hi Switesh

You mean in terms of waiting for a reversal?

Yes Jeff I was waiting for a reversal though I felt it probably wouldn't happen looking at the speed those two were cruising along the main trend. I just didn't feel like taking a half opportunity by jumping on the bandwagon at the risk of a sharp reversal.

BTW, the really small reversal that happened at the very end was too fast. By the time my eyes saw it and my brain realized it, it was already 6 ticks out.

The 3:40 Hcap Hrd at Newton Abbot.

Someone dropped a 3k bomb on this runner just moments before the previous race finished. After that it was headed straight south without looking back.

I've attached 2 charts to show the early bomb, and the effect it had afterward.

Didn't get any of the action, just watched it move from 8 to 3.6. In post time it drifted back to 4.5.

I usually don't get flukes too often, but just had one today. Layed the fav at 2.34 in the 3:25 Hcap at Ling.

Thanks Lady Luck!
