No disrespect intended but that price sounds like he was adding a thick slice on for himself.

The racetech feeds without timestamps etc are available from 12W if you can source the RAS codes.

I assume you are talking Eutelsat 12W at 12.5 degrees west? Most of this bird is taken up by feeds but I doubt you will find the keys you need to break the encryption. You will get the odd FTA feed but I think I mentioned in another thread that it's a real game of cat and mouse. This is "Uncle Sam's" encryption method and they won't take kindly to someone trying to hack it. It's PowerVU and AFAIK it has never been hacked and I doubt it ever will. There was a rumour of "Russian boxes" but apparently they had an active key which was then redundant when the provider switched codes.

I know of plenty who have tried to find the elusive key for PowerVu but none have succeeded so far. I know a hacker did show a potential flaw in the design for the cryptography but I think that is where it ended. In this part of the world PowerVU is used by the US Military on 13E but it's mainly US sports and radio for the military personnel.

Let's face it, watching the closed feed at the course is as quick as you'll get and we already know that edge is being eroded as they all try and grab the same piece of the ever shrinking pie.

Hey Guy's.
I spent the best part of a year down at James Lovells exchange shop and if anyone has any questions about it feel free to post them.
I would personally say that you still have a decent advantage by being in an exchange shop. SIS isn't very good but turf tv tracks are still profitable.

The boy's who do it full time are still very succesful down there and are very helpful. Most of the lads down there still just take advantage of getting value prices on horses who "steal a length" on the field or as James say's horses that make a race winning move. I think it's got a lot harder from what the boy's have said down there but don't write it off. It's still profitable enough for the main room to be full most of the time at £40 a day.

If you like your racing or like playing xbox etc (Fast reactions) then give it go and the boy's are great down there, otherwise just work on making your pre-race trading as profitable as possible :D
Cheers,
Gareth.

The last post was 15 months ago. Has anything interesting happened. Is the Lovell Cardiff shop the best in UK?

Does anybody use BetAngel software at home as opposed to in an exchange betting shop?
