Have you noticed recently how the market accelerates to an exhaustion point. If you can catch them they are really nice trades.

Favourite was fairly well backed with a few bombs thrown in there and eventually ran out of steam, drifting out fairly quickly. Trade of the year for me, this is probably the first time I've actually read every move and got my entry points spot on each time! Let there be light at the end of the tunnel!

Does your strategy involve catching these huge spikes? I often just watch the odds inplay and marvel at the size of odds being matched in the frenzy, there must be a lot of profit in there but I think I'd better sort my pre-race self out first!

Correct me if I'm wrong but could you lay a number of horses below evens and if two are matched you'd be onto a profit?

Yes it does, You can back to lay or lay to back. There are pros and cons for each and you can go for long stretches without wins too

well done PeterLe... I hope you got it twice and greened on the way :D ... What caused it, do you know?

Well in fairness I didn't catch it as much as I'd have liked to!
You see these spikes on lots of races but they are hard to catch.
A lot of them are caused by cross matching. Although when Ive looked at the cross matching algorithm I cant see how it can work on odds above 100? maybe if there is a mathematician out there they can put me straight on that one please?

Whether it was murder depends whether you were following the trend or hoping that the market would suddenly pivot 180 degrees and give you a huge green... :)

The 5:15 Hcap at Donc. I didn't get any green (slightly surprised because I usually catch reversals but missed this one) but was thrilled to watch it.

What tool do you use to capture and edit the graphs, type onto them etc? I have a windows 8 snipping tool but it's very basic and can only take shots not edit them.
