Well done Andy, but I can't help but think of Del Po the accomplice, he took the sting out of Federer in the Olympic semi and did the same thing to Nole. Murray wants to buy him a few drinks.

Thought he may do it, but 3-0 is an amazing result. Congrats Murray!

Well, fantastic job Murray!!

Wrong call by me, mid-game, I was sure he would choke, but I still traded out green.

GBP42m traded this match... here's hoping everyone got a wedge of that

Boris followed that up with "Let's dooooo this now!"

He's obviously thinking about his broom cupboard

I didn't see the game.as I'm stuck in the middle of no where. However I read the report on the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/tennis/23217393 and the most.amazing thing is they said it's 40 degrees! Is that right or they just getting carried away with the moment?

What a game! Ended up backing Murray around 1.5 overall and got Djokovic at a huge price before trading out, Hope everybody saw out a good result!

@Steven, seeing the weather where I am I would say 40 degrees is about right!

Well thats that for another year well done Andy Murray.

Heres a stat that you probably already knew..apparently Andy Murray is the first Brit to win the mens singles since Fred Perry in 1936. :D

Well, Murray did it! Straight sets as well!

Nole's serve wasn't working at all , and he made a lot of unforced errors. Clearly the tough 5-setter in the previous Del Potro match had had its effect on Nole. He was flat. Whereas, Murray was firing on all cylinders. The end result is that Murray was able to comprehensively outplay him.

Note for the future: Whenever someone plays a tough tennis match and doesn't get the proper rest, they always say it won't affect them, and always it does...the next game, they are always flat. So never believe it when a tennis player has a tough 5-setter and says they can recover quickly: you can be fairly sure it will have sapped their energy and taken the edge off them.

Savvy punters and traders should have seen this one coming.
