It's funny how we all see the markets differently and the exact reason we are all able to trade.

I found Monday and Tuesday pretty poor though I managed to scrape what I expected for the two days. This afternoon I struggled, mainly due to a poor mindset but this evening I did very well finding the markets great for scalping which brought the day back to what I expected from the day.

So all in all this week has been pretty average and I have achieved what I would have hoped to achieve but nothing more. Whereas last week was one of my best ever weeks.

However, I always find I do better as the week progresses so hopefully the next few days will make up for the average start to the week I have had.

One big thing though is that prior to the start of the year I managed to sort out my mindset and expectations for the first few months. Last year I let the delays, cancellations etc etc get to me and it had a huge impact on my trading. This year it is the complete opposite and I am having a start to the year well beyond what I had hoped for.

Keep plugging away guys and don't forget to take a long term approach, a bad day or a week is nothing over the course of a year. I find we often place far to much emphasis on our recent results and forget to look at the much bigger picture.

Ultimately that's what makes a market, people with differing views and styles.

Much better day today, beat yesterdays total in the first race and onwards and upwards from there. Don't know what happened yesterday.

Been caught by a big punter at least 3 times for a hefty loss each time. Lucky You guys or I should say unlucky me.

I got caught exactly the same later on the afternoon!

I was doing ok today and then unbelievably I lost all my profit and more on the 19:00 kemp race. I took my eye off the ball for one minute and it all went tits up

can't believe I did that.

Hmm, having trouble getting filled again today. Just had £750 sat there at Kempton for two minutes, there was only £250 in front of me and nobody took it.

I wondered if anyone else has had the same experience as me today...? After doing this for about a month on low stakes my usual consistent daily average is between £3-£5. Today was abismal! I'm about £4 down and the markets have been the most unpredictable I've ever seen. Anyone else had a similar day or have I just made judgemental errors??

I've had a nightmare as well, I was about £200 down most of the day, pulled it back to near even now but still, no good!

I think the markets have been a little hard to read but I put my bad day down to my poor trading, I was aiming too high today and being to risky with pretty large stakes, lost £130 in one race :(

I should really know better by now :|

Been pretty happy with my day so far, nothing spectacular but kept losses to a minimum with total losses of under £3, so effectively no losses all day.

Still 10 races to go so anything can still happen. Can't say I have found the markets particularly tricky, been some nice moves I thought today and the better quality racing I thought had brought in some extra money.

Best of luck for the rest of the day.
