I group matches by league and competition and look at the long term average number of goals across the competition. I then forecast the total number of goals and produce the variation to the average goals. So you should end up with, over the course of the season, a pretty accurate forecast. Over a season I settle around 0 to 0.10 goals out on forecast.

But, of course, if football there is a wide variation, but the forecasts should tell you where to focus your attention.

If you like having an occasional little £5 per bet on these things, it's worth a go, because I see it happening at some stage

Will Betfair refund bets on this fixture?

In this case, the money will no be refunded. Galat vs Juve will kick off in 2 hours and 45 minutes, starting from the 30th minute of the game!

The general rule is that they hold it over for a set period of time and keep the bets as they stand until the completion of the match. Can't remember the exact amount of time it stays open?
