I'm thinking Liverpool will defend and try and score on the break, you'll get good odds on 0-0.
That's an interesting point. I've had ago recently at trying to calculate my own scoring rates for teams. One of the key issues is how much off an impact a teams defence has on another teams attacking ability.

I am starting to think not much. I would have said that both Man United and Arsenal have decent defences. But Man City have still managed to score heavily against both of them at home. I can't see Liverpool containing the Man City attack, mainly because there defence is no better than those above. Rodgers might try to, but practically I don't think it's possible.

Re-read what I wrote. :)

I wrote 'ironic' not 'wrong'.

It would be ironic if AVB lost his job, despite being above last season's champion's in the table.
So no manager above Man United in the table should get the sack?

I read it correctly, I just don't see why it's ironic.

I'm not going to explain my comment, so it will have to remain a mystery. :)

Jeff (who has a splitting headache and is in no mood to explain his throwaway comment).

It's one of the games i may bet on.

Could be loads of goals? but both teams will be ready to defend big time due to both there latest results.

Going for 0-0 and cash out at half time is worth a small bet you'l get a good return.

Too far out for me to do a rating, but if you remind me I'll post some up. I tend to trade on boxing day.

It can happen. I thought the Manchester United v Arsenal game would have had goals, but it was very close with each team being cautious.

Rodgers set Liverpool to be very defensive against Arsenal earlier in the season with three at the back. Against Spurs he was much more attacking and got better results. I don't think Pellegrini knows anything, but attacking football at the Etihad.

Should be a cracking game, particularly with Suarez and Aguero upfront.

Glad to see Rodgers support Malky Mackay. Some of the things that go on at Cardiff are just sole destroying.
