Hi Marc, really hope you get your things together and think it was very courageous to talk about your problems and a good way to deal with them too.

Imho, you should take it easy on trading. Your problems will eventually interfere with it.

Anyway, wish you the best and take it easy mate.

I agree 100%.

Whenever I trade when I'm in a bad place mentally I regret it. The markets aren't going anywhere - they can wait...

full time last 7 years, part time 3 yrs before that.
have an addiction of watching porn between races :lol:

Is there any full time traders under the age of 21? I get a feeling most traders are over 35.

Dunno, although Adam Heathcote was pretty young back when he was making £2K a day...

You are probably right. I think a lot of younger traders are not so confident to go full time and try and focus on a career, but people in or approaching middle age are fed up with their careers and are prepared to give it a go.

An interesting observation is that when I started and in the early years there were very, very few traders. Now there are thousands, so the dynamic of the market has probably changed.

I went full time around 31 and left it at 34 wishing I hadn't gone fulltime. I would urge anyone with a pipe dream to be a full timer to have a good back up plan in place because as it stands the markets aren't tradeable to give a decent full time income. And they are only getting smaller. As a part time extra cash boost its still pretty good though.

It's Sunday I'm doing my tax return so I take 10 minutes out to trade the feature in Ireland. This is why I love trading.
