Mugs - You seem too timid to be a union rep! :D

I met him in 1991. I was a young lad and he had been paid £500 by Ladbrokes to open a new betting shop - I was the manager. He spent the whole day ignoring customers, whilst stuffing his face with minature sausage rolls and trying to shag our 21 year-old cashier, which is not easy when you look like a sweating walrus in fancy dress
How come your cashier was a walrus in fancy dress, that cannot have been good for business....oh wait....

Agree with James1st about the Morning Line - it's become totally anodyne now. And the one thing in Mac's favour was that he was the only one who would criticise the bookies - eg shortening prices on late withdrawals to increase Rule 4 deductions, changing calculation of SP in their favour, attempting to limit the number of 16+ runner handicaps where the place odds favour the punter etc.

I'm a day late but Jolly Green's Walrus joke has had me chuckling for 5 whole minutes. And I needed that laugh after my tennis trading performance this morning
Thank you

 I'd tune in to watch that!

Did you ever see that Celebrity Wife Swap he and Edwina Currie were in? If not, I'd recommend it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sx3nBPHZhY

He expected Currie to play the role of dutiful housewife while he spent all day lying in bed reading the Racing Post!

Yes, I remember that. He also done Big Brother

On both occasions he came across as an obnoxious twat. Unfortunately, it's not an act. Having met the bloke....he is an obnoxious twat

From earlier today - usual 'entertainment' and never really answers the questions but still watchable for 8 mins while having a cuppa:

Martin Lewis vs John McCririck

I don't buy the line he doesn't know about his money, imo he is actually quite smart. Also I don't believe he earned around £20,000 last year. It would have been much more, though he did chuck in the salary line at one point. As a freelance, his salary will be very small for tax reasons I would assume.
