We could have the best players in Europe, but Moyes would still find a way to make the team play like a mid-table Premiership club...

As City and Chelsea have discovered in recent years, having ultra-talented players isn't enough. You also need the right leader.

I think Mourinho is taking it a bit far now.

The Press no doubt love his press conferences but this shows a certain lack of restraint.

On Sky's Sunday Supplement the journalists were saying Mourinho is more popular with opposition fans this time around because he has toned back his comments. Think that might need reviewing.

Villareal game abandoned due to reportedly tear gas being thrown on the pitch.

There's talk in the papers that Rooney will be offered a £70 million, £300K a week 4.5 year contract to stay at United.

Rooney is a good player, but paying him that kind of money will mean that we have less money available to bolster the squad with much needed improvements in midfield and defence.

It will also lead to resentment from players who are paid considerably less than £300K a week, and to them demanding higher salaries. For example, he would be on twice as much as Mata, which is obscene.

I think Moyes should offer Rooney a package that reflects his status as one of England's top strikers, and tell him he can go to City or Chelsea if he thinks they are willing to offer him a better package. I'm not sure he'd even get into their starting 11...

Two potentially cracking games today. Liverpool to win got fat fingered.

Yeah, I noticed that too

9.4k matched at 2.50, that's a hefty amount of money

Interesting how the draw odds didn't budge.

United's demise is staggering, absolutely staggering

I'm interested to see how long the board will keep faith with Moyes before making a change.

Man Utd haven't finished lower than 3rd since the PL started in 1992/93. I know Fergie was always going to be tough act to follow, but Moyes has done a terrible job - it's way too big for him
