but there is an awful amount of misinformation out there in the health world.
For instance, the conventional 'wisdom' is that salt is bad for you and that we should avoid it as much as possible, but that only applies to refined table salt (which certainly IS bad for you) but doesn't take into account the fact that natural, raw, unrefined salt (such as Himalayan mountain salt or sea salt or salt found in vegtables) is good for you and essential for celluar function. Most people on a western diet are actually deficient in the salt (the right kind), in spite of the fact that most people consume too much (of the wrong kind)!
