England Vs Italy 14th of June 2014
Italy showed better control of the ball whilst England were playing at a million miles an hour, despite the fact that they looked like they had a red bull overdose, they created enough chances to win the game, one problem, you won't win the game if you can't shoot, solution = get rid of rooooooney!

I agree with Le Tiss about Rooney. He has played 9 games at World Cups and not socred a single goal. He has been sent off once in that as well. Why do we pick him if he isn't scoring? He has scored a lot of goals for England but not when it really matters.
England have some great young playes so it's not all doom and gloom. It's just too early for them at this World Cup.

I was quite impressed about some english players last night and the group in general. With a good work this new generation looks very promising for the future. No big names but, outstanding work as a team....meaning without Rooney & the old CO.
Good luck against Uruguay...

I think Rooney lied about his age and is really about 35 now.LeTiss 4pm wrote:When he was 16 and burst on the scene at Everton, he wasn't your average teenager - he was a bloke, he had the body of a man!
Time for him to get dropped, but it won't happen as Hogdson doesn't have the balls.
Sterling was Ok but couldn't see what everyone is raving about; Gerrard had a poor game by his own high standards; Glen Johnson should be dropped (sick and tired of his casual approach and twice every game he cuts inside and unleases a crap shot - players like him, and Henderson, who also can't shoot, should be forbidden by the manager from shooting as it's just a waste of possession in good areas).
My team for the Uruguay game:
Forster
Milner - Jagielka - Cahill - Baines
Gerrard
Welbeck - Barkley - Lallana
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Sturridge

The biggest concern about England now is to recover energy for the big game against Uruguay. The have been running without ball more then Italians while Italy have broke the previous record of succesfull passes in the world cup. Prandelli have managed to kill the game with 2 substitutions and saved energy against the surprising Costarica. England will also have one day less to rest. It's going to be a very tough task having Uruguay desperate to gain points as well. As usual when European team play against a non european team, I will always support the European team but, I have big concerns about this game coming, something that Roy H need to have the courage to do. Leave big names out if they too tired and not motivated enough. Prandelli lost a final against Spain 4-0 because of that same reason, he did not have the guts to leave some big names out of that game.
