At least we do not run the risk of giving up a genius cause he resigned. You still have Roy Hodgson for an other 2-4 years .. good luck!
The French will knock out Brazil! Vive La France! All stand for this rousing version of the French national anthem, taking the spirit of Zidane all the way to the finals and a big Betfair collect for me when they take the cupgazuty wrote:
From here I'll be loading it into Brazil and taking money off after each knock out round.

Uruguay has the chance to defend Suarez by this afternoon and guess what they appeal to?
They saying that televisions of half world have released a photoshop image of the event because of a plot against Suarez.
Are this people for real?

Disgraceful
I wonder if England had never won the world cup, whether we would have had such high expectations all these years? Granted that this time are expectations were at their lowest that I can remember, but maybe we are just a small island in the grand scheme of things and ever since 1966 have been almost cursed with this belief that we should win 'because we're England', when we've never really had enough in the ranks, regardless of our league or history of influence on the world in other 'disciplines'superfrank wrote:
England are a national embarrassment.
I think the biggest problem regarding the expectation from the England team is the fact that the game was invented here and we believe it is our game.
Even so I dont think its unfair to expect given the love of the game here/ population size/ amount of professional teams etc that England should have, over the years put on a much better show.
I think its such a shame really because having witnessed the effect a good run in a tournament can have (Italia 90, Euro 96) It would be amazing here if they actualy went on to win something.
Same for every country though and probably the reason we all love it so much

Statistical analysis shows France greatly under-rated and a clear value bet:

Mario Balotelli has refused to be a scapegoat for Italy's World Cup exit after being deemed "not really Italian" by some fans.

Assou-Ekotto head-butted one of his own players in one of Cameroon's group games. Light years ahead"Perhaps, as some of you say, I'm not really Italian. The Africans wouldn't have blamed one of their brothers. Never. In this, we black, as you call us, we are light years ahead of you".
This evenings USA match worth a look: -
