Chinese business owners have quickly begun stocking "Suarez bottle-openers" in online shops after the notorious bite.

Brazil almost eliminated by Chile, but they scrapped through on penalties! Brazil have a decent attack but their defence is a bit ordinary. They are vulnerable to being eliminated by a French blitz in my view - France are the strongest defensive team there, and defence is what wins trophies.

The TV pundits say the opposite, i.e. good defence, weak attack (Neymar excepted).

I don't think they're are particularly good full stop, but are probably gonna end up in the SFs nonetheless - Columbia look great going forward but Uruguay created several chances in the last 15 mins and they look a bit shakey at the back.

Chile so unlucky, 'deserved to win imho.

Only Costa Rica left from Group D - the form confirms that England were probably the in the bottom 3 worst teams in the tournament.

I spotted an opportunity yesterday but, I did not get the chance to share it with you. I saw Germany to qualify for the semifinals was quite short with the price. Unfortunaly I could not lay it my self because I could not find this market on Betfair.it
The odds yesterday, if I remember correctly, were around 1.55-1.6,
today the odds are around 1.73..It was a nice drift. However I still think that the odds may move a littlebit more and if france qualify tomorrow, me may see Germany drifting perhaps around 2.0..Germany may drift on several markets anyway if France beat Nigeria.

Fergie Time win for Van Gaal.

The drinks break mixes things up a bit, and they add the time on rather than stop the clock.

7 out of 11 is a lot of bad apples. Bet the other 4 were knackered at the end.

Pele predicted that an African nation would win the World Cup before the year 2000.

He's gonna be at least 18 years late with that one - no African side has gone beyond the QFs and, even if they did, they'd probably throw the SF.

Maybe they should take a peek at the England players' betting accounts!

I didn't realise that ex-Blade Alex Sabella is the current Argentina manager...

World Cup 2014: Alejandro Sabella - Bramall Lane to Brazil
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28069978
...Sheffield United manager Harry Haslam travelled to Argentina on a scouting mission. He wanted to sign Maradona but returned with Sabella.

The story goes that Haslam got Sabella from River Plate for £160,000 after refusing to pay an extra £40,000 for Maradona
