Ukraine is losing weapons on the battlefield.
How's that breaking news :?:

Losses are an inevitable part of war, like they are in trading

And whatever amounts they lose the West will send more and train more men

The state of these threads...

If you're going to die on that hill at least pick a nice defensible one like the Russians have done

Thats OTT for me, chief. Opinion and waffling is one thing. Wishing someone dead is different. Reasoned debate of his opinions is the way to go I think.
You did change my view on gun control in the US with reasoned debate.

The Russian S-400 battery can fire missiles with a range of 240 miles, velocity of up to Mach 5.9 and reach an altitude of 98,000 feet, but they can't defend themselves against sea drones traveling at 30mph, making a noise, splash and leaving a trail as it approaches.

Fun thing (nope) is that I know a few commies that liked to whack people with different, not even controversial, opinion. They also were ratting on each other and some of them even weaponized the ratting to settle personal scores with their "foes" (this often led to the death sentence for them). I guess it's not about being a commie, it's about being an etatist.

Putin wants to remain in control. He has no interet in democracy. He has nothing like the courage of Gorbachev or Yeltsin to let democracy loose.
Russia is being defined by Putin's unwilligness to allow democracy to bloom.

Already told ya - democracy as a rule of the "average" doesn't work well, cause the masses can be brainwashed and manipulated, being it "communism" or capitalism or whatever - doesn't matter. As for Gorbachev "era", yes it was interesting times, too bad it was short and ended with Yeltsin super presidency.

But you never criticise Putin? Perhaps you have family in Russia that prevents you from expressing your true view?
For us "westerners" Putiin is a slam-dunk dictator. He's ruining Russia.

I've already said that I'm not the fan of the constitution reform and wish the parliament had more power and less notoriety. I don't think he's ruining the country, but I don't think it being governed optimally either.

If you can kill or imprison anyone you don't like, you are definitely running the country. :)
