Does it matter? It's just our psychology, I believe the term is hedonic treadmill
It's curious how people manage it, our own lotto lout being the best example.
Ok maybe you wouldn't go bust, I stand correctedDerek27 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 1:33 amI went into Burger King today and paid £1.99 for a burger via the app. But when I look at the menu and see burgers for £6-7 I think to myself, I could win the lottery and still wouldn't be willing to pay that much (unless I had a bird who liked BK). FFS, it's just a burger!
Talking of the hedonic treadmill, the lotto lout takes some beating! I once went to the marketplace for a cup of coffee and was told I just missed meeting him by a few minutes, not that I'd want to meet him. I certainly wouldn't waste millions on prostitutes - they're not that expensive.
