traded at 1.01.................. and lost
In my early days of trading, I used to offer £10 at 1.01 on all horses. It was only a 10p loss, but I actually made a profit over a period of time. It's amazing how many events has a 1.01 'in play' favourite that either drifts in price, or actually loses
That's an amazing piece of info gutuami, where did you get that from?gutuami wrote:here you have a list with all selections that lost at 1,01 between 01.09.2008 - 31.08.2009. 150 in total
The results spell out what I noticed a while back when trading with silly amounts
Laying 1.01 can be profitable
the info I've got is from a database that I made up collecting everyday betfair history prices.
if anybody wants to make some calculations here are some additional info: nr of races: 12830, nr of horses from those races: 140514. In the file 2 stands for dead heat. Don't forget 4-5% bf charge. The 1.01 in the total {150} counts only if it was matched minimum £100...the actual dates are 31.08.09-30.09.09

Hi Gutuami
Did your research teach you anything about the market efficiency of Betfair prices?
