Remarkable, just ran seven winners in one day!

The first jockey to do so since Frankie Dettori at Ascot in 1996 and the second jockey to ever do it.

Although Hughes is a decent jockey who makes fewer mistakes than most, I can't help thinking that he had a lot of help from the horses he rode :D

Mathematically the chances of riding 7 winners, assuming they are all favourites with say, a 30% chance each is 5000-1. Assuming a jockey rides 300 days a year then the chances of getting a 7 timer is once every 16.6 years.

Frankie June 1996 happens to be 16.6 years ago :ugeek: .
