Perfect result from a trading perspective because now we get a Next Leader battle (50/50 she'll go in the morning) and a very strong chance of another GE in October.

The move on Boris was a nice bonus too, low risk backing him earlier today hoping for a May 'break of serve'. Can't see him being Leader though.

Don't expect the DUP to fully back the Tories because of the issues with the border. That makes it's much less likely now that we have an extremist Brexit rather than the sensible Brexit that the majority wants, and the economy needs.

Was nice to see some decent moderate Tories keep their seats, esp Ken Clarke and Anna Soubry, even though on raw numbers I wish they'd gone.

...bring on October and we can do it all over again.

Who decides which order the polls from each constituency come in... Is this on purpose to string the whole evening out?
Yes, Simon Cowell and the BBC Yentobs decide what happens, it's all designed to run on the same lines as the X-Factor.

I'm guessing you're a GE virgin?

The real answer is ..Everyone just counts them as quick as they can, and they announce it as soon as they've got a result. If it's close, a candidate can ask for either a batch recount (the piles of sorted votes) or a full recount (every ballot) and that takes some, or a lot more time. Some are fast and some are slow because constituencies vary greatly in size. The order is usually similar.

Not sure how Theresa May can stay - she was after a convincing win to get a mandate, but didn't get a win at all

I followed my advice and had a cheeky £2 on Southampton Itchen at 9.6, but fell 31 votes short, and as expected Alan Whitehead held Southampton Test, but I didn't get matched
