With all the Republican politicians surrounding DT, and all the Republican voters who attended the rallies and caught the virus dying before voting day, that could tip the balance. ;)

From the rules:
If any candidate withdraws for any reason, including death, all bets on the market will stand and be settled as per the defined rules (Updated - 20/06/2020)
Why do I have this feeling the suspension is to cover some of their own liabilities..

Exactly if bets even stand as a result of death then no reason to suspend, what happened to a free market

Betdaq mkt still open.

I also don't understand why Betfair suspended their market.

Maybe no one around to make a decision - I would sort of expect it to re-open later.

But really, with Betfair, who knows.

What are the triggers to unsuspend it?

Betfair 4:08 PM
We're still looking for clarity there unfortunately

I reckon when he gets through it, he wins, as there would be a swing of empathy towards him with only 2/3 weeks before the election.
(Bojo got a similar short-term lift in popularity when he nearly died from his covid episode)

So my trade maybe a B2L on Trump as we follow his "recovery" progress in the next 7-14 days. (when the market opens again)

I don't think there will be same empathy, Trump has been downplaying it so if he gets very ill then it proves he was wrong but if he gets through it easily then it proves he was right.

So it's either a big win or a big lose for him

I'll be backing him Sunday morning if his symptoms aren't bad

When Boris got Covid Betfair suspended the Next PM market.

I figure Betfair consider as a matter of "decency" it wants to stay away from speculation on illness/ death.
