Opinion, Trump could have infected Biden: -

If Biden got covid he will no doubt blame Trump
With some justification
I'm not sure I see any justification. I can see how it will be spun in the media but they both knew the risks of the debate & we can talk about Donald's lack of regard but that surely should of made Biden even more cautious. Biden also clearly wanted to debate regardless of the current Covid situation because he ignored his own party when they were telling him not to debate. Either way around, I see them as responsible for their own actions.

Everyone talking about that 'A rated' poll that gives Biden a 14 point lead which has caused his price to come in about 8 ticks - the same poll that gave Clinton a 9 pt lead on Oct.10th 2016 and Clinton an 11pt lead 3 days later.
Just on polling - the actual results vs polling will again be very interesting. The US Spectator election show went through how pollsters have updated their models since 2016. Be interesting how the results pan out against state by state polling.

Of course last Australian election and UK election continue to demonstrate “shy Tory”, “shy conservative” effect is very real. No doubt there is a “shy republican” impact. Plus get out the vote in the US, although that might diminish when you can simply “mail it in”.

On mail ins - I understand historically about 20% of mail in are invalid. Expect that to be a lot higher this time with so many first timers making mistakes. Unfortunately lots of scope for arguments around that.

James thats almost as stupid as the the picture you posted saying Biden had a mic up his sleeve! By your logic if I stroll into a shop without a face mask and give somebody else the virus then its their fault for being in the shop and not mine for being an arsehole!

They both knew the risks of the debate, yes agreed. But only one of them climbed into a chopper on the day of the debate with 6 other people none of whom were wearing a face mask and one of whom was showing symptoms of the virus.

Also James you cant have it both ways. You cant on the one hand say well Biden didnt have to go to the debate and on the other slag him off for being 'locked in his basement'

They should have had a screen between the two of them. The way Trump was shouting he probably gave it to the entire audience.

By James' logic that would be their fault for being there and not Trumps.

Calm down TraderPat, there is no need to go full on bigot. I would love to take the time and reply to your earlier response but I'm afraid I can't bothered with the "that's like saying" (insert made up scenario here.) Ill stick to my opinion, you're welcome to yours.

I thought that I would just get his perspective of why he thought there was justification in a rational manner, it might of changed my opinion if so, but instead it was a full on attack. I have no doubts that I may not be seeing things with clarity and just like the rest of us have silly moments of judgement.

I suppose thats the danger of these types of threads, opinions can be very strong.

Bigot? Maybe you should look up the dictionary definition of the word. I am not intolerant of other peoples views or opinions far from it, but I do believe that bullshit should be called out.

The reason you wont reply to what I said earlier is because you can't. Just like when I called you out on Bidens microphone picture, you didn't respond because you couldn't not because you chose not to. The only response you could have had to that was 'my bad, I was wrong' but you chose to just ignore it which speaks volumes.

There are plenty of people whose views on this subject I disagree with for the most part but I'm not sure exactly where to put you on the 'scale'. On one side you have Naffman who should probably just change his avatar to a MAGA hat, and on the other you have Gazuty who while I disagree with much of what he says he seems to base his argument on logic rather than emotion and is at least able to back up a lot of his opinions with fact. For now you seem to be somewhere in between the two.

For the record, I'm perfectly calm, If I ever got to the point where I got wound up by words on a forum I would stop posting. Having said that this conversation has cost me a tenner on the 1.30 at Pontefract!

Ok TraderPat, my bad I was wrong. Thank goodness we have you around to call out all the bullshit and to catogorise us all with your superior knowledge & standing. I shall never dare to post again or engage in dialogue with an opinion that hasn't passed your bullshit verification meter.

I think I've wasted enough of your precious time by the sounds of it. Have a great day.

TraderPat you're very hypocritical, not once have I called you out for your hatred of Trump yet I'm always getting called out despite posting numerous reasons/stats why I think he will win

I've never pretended to have superior knowledge of anything on here because I don't.

But if you're going to engage in a debate on the forum at least be prepared to be have your opinions challenged.

A thread on politics, getting very political. These are always the most contentious threads!

I know it's tough to remain partisan on these threads. But seeing through the biases of each other is often the key to doing a really good trade in these markets.

Hatred of Trump? That is classic Trump supporter. If you don't agree with Trump or his policies then you hate him. I don't hate Trump I'm just trying to be objective.

And I called you out because a lot of what you post is from a right leaning perspective without being able to look at both sides of the argument. Most of the 'stats' you post are just opinion, you can find stats saying the opposite all over the internet from left leaning websites, doesn't make either of them right.

Todays the first time in my life I've ever been called a bigot or a hypocrite :D
