RANT CORNER
I've just looked up the 'fuck the population' belt. The last one's been sold for $49 and I have to make the buyer an offer to sell it to me. I blame Brexit for the belt shortage.

There's great value to be had if you order a fake designer belt from China
You only pay around 2.8% of the full price for 85% of the quality with 97% of the visuals, more than enough to fool the untrained eye
A good idea for anyone who wants to show off wealth and sell some trading courses if they lose their edge
Perhaps a bit of common sense at last.

Ah I think he missed a trick there. He should have done this into the union https://youtu.be/Tms0yk9kqVM?t=146 to announce he couldn't do the talk then do it out again!greenmark wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 11:28 pmPerhaps a bit of common sense at last.

This sickened me in light of the above and what it means for society.

Not sure what you want the guy or anybody else in that situation to do other than call the police?Emmson wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 8:53 amThis sickened me in light of the above and what it means for society.![]()

I'm not sure who the bigger idiot is in that situation, the guy with the angle grinder or the guy recording the video. To record somebody on your mobile phone when they're committing a crime and ask them "Is that your bike?" is stupid. What if the guy turned and came at him with the angle grinder? Also the guy with the angle grinder has just had his face plastered all over the national media

Moral of the story... if you have a decent bike like that spend a hundred quid on a decent tracker, then if somebody nicks it you don't have to worry.
Not sure what cognitive bias it falls under but it's funny how liked people can get away with anything!Trader Pat wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 12:09 amAh I think he missed a trick there. My sister, living in an expensive part of London, reported an attempted break-in to the police. CCTV recorded clear pics of the offenders faces from many different angles plus their car number plate. Police said not enough evidence, the number plate could be fake.Emmson wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 8:53 amThis sickened me in light of the above and what it means for society.![]()

The theft and the brazeness of the theft is what sickened me. I can see both sides on the non or partial intervention.
On a completely different front this canned curry is an atrocity and I will not buy again, takes something special (in a negative sense) for me to waste a meal halfway through.

In my younger days before I could cook those tinned curries would go down a treat. Nowadays you wouldn't want to give one to your dog.Emmson wrote: ↑Thu Nov 11, 2021 1:34 pmThe theft and the brazeness of the theft is what sickened me. I can see both sides on the non or partial intervention.

I don't eat processed food anymore. Not since having chicken pox in my forties.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 5:53 pmIn my younger days before I could cook those tinned curries would go down a treat. Fresh food and freshly made meals (frozen by me) made me feel a whole lot better for a couple of hours.
Processed meals were just shovelling stuff in my mouth and the benefit was measured in minutes.
It may have protein, fat, calories on the label. But processed food is very poor.
