So market is up for a few more days from what I understand?

Yeah, for sure have to be careful with trading political opinions, it's one of the most extreme and stubborn biases :D So easy to overstake and create big losses, just don't start laying Boris just because you hate him :)

Couldn't resist the fillrates yesterday so dipped in and out at times, with around 10k turnover total so into 3 figures with most on Boris looks like, wish I was more clued in but probably better not to have an opinion :D
I see what you mean. He has been bouncing around between the lower and upper 3s. Strikes me as a safe lay in the lower 3s. He could drop down to 2.2 if he gets the 100 but if you're lucky he could be out.
Well the bots have been pushing Boris around since I first looked at it yesterday afternoon, if fillrates improve I will likely trade some more.

Not following the situation so can't fully commit to the market, but seems very tradable overall, like a 2-3 runner race that never ends.
I don't have a good track record on political markets so you don't need to take notice of me, but the problem I see is if his price drops or goes flying out, you don't know if something's happened or it's just another rumour.

Well it doesn't really matter if it's a political market or not, it's like any other news based market where you're always basically trading in the blind, like the next Aston Villa manager or whatever.

You don't have to oppose moves blindly either, can go with whatever momentum you see until it fizzles out, that last bump you see on the Boris graph up to 9s is a good example, caught that one on the way back. If something significant has happened you would expect a swift correction from those first to know or react, that's different than a slow momentum buildup etc.

At the very minimum you can maybe try and win a few ticks and build a free bet or something, but have to time your scalps when fillrates are high and momentums are low :) Altho at these price ranges on the two favs scalping not really worth with these volumes

I reckon many MPs will be privately supporting Johnson just to get him over here and in the running. Then they'll pull their support and humiliate him. That's what I would do. :D

Perhaps also somewhat interesting is the next GE market

If you think about it, whoever the Tories choose as leader has a mountain of shit to deal with. Divided party, economic crisis... its a shitshow. How long before the cracks start to appear again, weeks, months ?

Rory Stewart: A liar, a showman, a buffoon, a rank incompetence, and probably the most shameful prime minister that Britain has ever had, and somebody the likes of whom I pray we will never see again.

Good summary Rory. :D
I think Rory will need a large vomiting bin as well. :)

Sunak's got his 100, Johnson's on 68, which explains his drift, and Mordaunt is struggling. Not sure when or how she traded at 1.76!

I saw a tweet (possibly deleted) from I think Julia Hartley-Brewer that says everyone in the Westminster circle knows why Ben Wallace won't stand.
James O’Brien was alluding to something like that yesterday but stopped short of saying it.
Had a quick look and maybe it's telling porkies about his military background, possibly exaggerating a bit.

That article is 3 years old but there has been plenty of edits to his Wiki page recently too:

As an ex PM, Liz Truss now gets £115K pa for the rest of her life.
Calls for Truss to turn down her £115K per year. Think it would have to be voluntary though.

Can she still request peerage titles or suggest them or however that goes?
I doubt it would be beyond her to give a Lord or Lady title to any slackmouthed numpty that didn't speak against her in her time in office to help grow grow grow their state pension entitlements.

Considering her time in office was "Swooped in, killed the Queen, crashed the market, got the fuck out of there"
I think she should be Lady Eilis McTruisse of the Crossmaglen Brigade of Volunteers :o

I forgot, she's still PM. Just as well we don't have prime ministerial pardons over here. The Tories would make an absolute killing!

Johnson's out to 4.2 from 2.92 last night, Sunak down to 1.43 and Mordaunt out to 22. I'm guessing Johnson's failing to get support.

Why anyone would support a disgraced lying incompetent buffoon who doesn't even comb his hair instead of a more respectable intelligent and presentable guy who can put forward sounder economics really beats the hell out of me.

What's going on? In the space of 3 minutes it's 1.33 Sunak and Boris the Buffoon is out to 4.8. Did traders read my last comment?
