inaccurate conversions are annoying, but would you know if you (we) weren't so pedantic?
I guess their excuse would be expressing grams in ounces would result in fractional figures in ounces which is obviously utterly unacceptable.
Sorry, also realised I used the US spelling of grams when it's actually grammes.

In the US if someone steals your debit card and empties your bank account then it’s a nightmare trying to get your money back under fraud legislation.

First time I went ot the states, stayed in a cheap motel. Women asked for my credit card, said I didn't have one. She looked at me as though I was an alien. Had to pay a $500 deposit. Which on the face of it was probably more than the motel was worth.
