You probably won't be able to get Spanish rice, so Italian is best.

Now that's what I call honesty. An author that admits there's no need to shop for ingredients because it's a fictional recipe.

2.5 fl Oz (60g) long grain rice, 5 fl Oz (150g) boiling water!!

So people who prefer metric measurements need more water??
 inaccurate conversions are annoying, but would you know if you (we) weren't so pedantic?
I guess their excuse would be expressing grams in ounces would result in fractional figures in ounces which is obviously utterly unacceptable. :-)
Sorry, also realised I used the US spelling of grams when it's actually grammes.

Don't they have debit cards in the US? Why do they always ask for your credit card number when any card will do?

All of the loose onions at ASDA were shaped like flying saucers. Cut the ends off and you're left with one thick slice per onion.

Credit cards offer more protection to the customer.

Rule of thumb is 1. If your withdrawing cash then use a debit card. 2. If your buying goods or services then use a credit card.

In the US if someone steals your debit card and empties your bank account then it’s a nightmare trying to get your money back under fraud legislation.

I'm aware of that, but if they accept MasterCard and VISA, they should say credit or debit card, at least to make it clear to anyone who doesn't have a credit card that they're still welcome. I like to be inclusive, if not pedantic. :)

First time I went ot the states, stayed in a cheap motel. Women asked for my credit card, said I didn't have one. She looked at me as though I was an alien. Had to pay a $500 deposit. Which on the face of it was probably more than the motel was worth.

Got a phone call from my old energy supplier. This time they only lasted 10 seconds of abuse before hanging up.

Edit: it only takes one character variables, nothing against me after all. :)

Got another call from Scottish Power. After 30 seconds of swearing and abusing her, she said, please refrain from bad language or I'll have to terminate the call.

Your fingerprint couldn't be recognised. Try using a different finger, even though we don't have another fingerprint recorded!

So patronising when a reporter cuts a slice of cake to show you what 28% looks like. Then she cuts a slice half the size.

What did that represent? 26%!!

Feel like I been shafted. 😓

Someone recommended a book to me ‘Calculated bets’.

What a load of BS maloney.
