I've not had any Betfair safer gambling comms for many years, then suddenly out of the blue I received a "your staking is higher than usual" email overnight. I've actually been staking less than normal because I've been on holiday.
Anyone else?
Betfair safer gambling email
Yes, a few days back, i posted about it in another thread. I think it's to do with the removal of the Poker Wallet and using the new Games Wallet, and transferring between the Main and Games Wallets. (I think) It's seeing a big decrease in the Main wallet if you've transferred out, and thinks there's a problem; maybe not recognising the Games Wallet amount as part your overall balance(?) and thinks you've done your bollocks.

This is exactly what it is. I transferred a value from Main to Games wallet last night and the email I received mentioned exactly the same amount. Because it was a round figure I didn't twig.Andriy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 1:04 pmYes, a few days back, i posted about it in another thread. I spoke to them about main wallet transfers being seen as losses at least a year ago, probably 18 months. They asked for screenshots, I supplied, they acknowledged errors, and said they'd fix it, blah blah blah. Clearly nothing got done. If they blame the poker switchover then that's bs.

There's a handful that are really on top of things but they tend to be working on new features. Ongoing fixes and maintainance is low priority vs the work that's more likely to generate revenue so I think that area is probably understaffed and underskilled. That's software for you though, everything is cost/benefit, if a bug isn't losing you customers then it goes in the bottom tray.
