Amkar v Anzhi Makhachkala

I know most of the charts on this thread are about horse racing but I've never come across so much movement in a pre off soccer market. I traded it decently, but it felt way more volatile than scalping the pre-off UK soccer matches.

Is this normal on non-UK soccer matches?

Quite a lot of action in the top of the table clash as well. I'm pretty sure this game is being played behind closed doors due to crowd trouble in Zenits previous match.

There is just no rationale basis for a move like this: -

I mean did the chance of this horse winning the race change from 40% to just 16% in just a few minutes?

it went to post keenly, nothing more than that.

i suspect this kind of move occurs when a horse that is gonna be opposed anyway is combined with the negative of keenness to post (and a thin Kempton market in this case).

i considered backing it a couple of times but glad i didn't (although it did trade around 3/1 in-play while racing keenly, but never threatened to win and ran poorly).

Is it not possible that sometimes, in instances like that, the odds were really 16% all along, but only the smart money which struck at the last minute knew it?

I'm not implying that anything dodgy might have gone on - it may be that Horse A, the favourite, drifts because people in the know that Horse B put in a performance in training yesterday that will blow Horse A out of the water.

What do you think?
