I believe that Farage is the best-placed out of possible future leaders to deliver some much needed serious change. Whether the civil service would allow him to succeed I don't know.

What I'm not understanding is Starmer and Reeves (BTW, has anyone heard from her ... she's gone as distant as Osbourne was after the Brexit referendum result! ) knew they were going to have to break manifesto pledges to balance the books and all Burnham has done is spend, spend, spend so his books will be even more unbalanced. Has a new version of arithmetic been invented that I missed? I was taught that minus + minus = bigger minus

Dreading that Budget already on 28th October. It is highlighted in my diary. It isn't going to be good for us taxpayers, workers, business owners, savers, investors, or basically anybody who contributes something worthwhile to this country. I have no problem with genuine out of work benefit claimants, (in fact they should receive more) and I know a couple of really ill people who cannot work and would love to. However there are way too many malingerers. Parasites on our society, they have no shame. Make them clean the streets or do something useful, rather than just leeching off the rest of us. I saw Burnham saying every area has to house their share of illegal migrants. Let's see how that works out eh.
